Issue #13
Live in Technicolor

Muahahaha! It’s June, baby, and it’s my favorite time of the year! Halloween may be our Super Bowl, but June is our Halftime Show! We are thrilled to present you with yet another PRIDE ISSUE! This month, these 3 bi girls share with you another amazing issue of Night Terror Magazine. It’s genuinely unreal to me that we have been at this for over a year now and have made it to the incredible milestone of yet another Pride issue.

I almost can’t even believe I’m sharing that we have an incredible interview with the ever-so-talented Luana Vecchio, a comic creator whose stories are taking the medium and spinning it on its head with the explicitly adventurous and outright bloody good time Lovesick and Doll Parts comic series! Luana has even been so kind to include her original art within these pages so that you can experience her visceral yet stunning work. This issue also features a guest article on the queerness of cannibalism (my favorite!) by Avery Coffey of The Unbound & Rewound Podcast! Their perspective sheds a new light on a rapidly growing interest in the use of cannibalism in horror stories and its many uses of symbolism within the genre.

We are just shy of a full year being Night Terror Magazine! I’m genuinely at a loss for words. This has been one of the most fun and creatively adventurous years of my life being able to work on this heart project. We carry so much love for Night Terror Magazine in our hearts, and sharing it with you all, especially these issues that carry so much information, brings immense happiness to our little Scream Team. Thank you for being a part of this wonderful madness. May June be fruitful and FUN.

Sashay away from the dismay of MAY and into Pride Month, y’all!

Podcaster + Creator

I look to horror for education–of myself, of the world around me, and of life itself. Horror has itched my brain since the age of 4, my earliest recollection of watching a slasher. I'm inspired to connect horror fans with the intersectionality in horror! And above all else, keep it political. Keep it gay. Supporting your horror means supporting all horror.
